I heard that there are some changes to Chatelaine. What are they?

As of January 1, 2017, Chatelaine will go from being published monthly to being published bi-monthly (6x per year), offering fresh content digitally through Texture, stand-alone digital editions, websites, and apps.

What happens next?

If you are a monthly pay subscriber through iTunes your billing will continue without any changes.

If you are a 6–month or annual subscriber through iTunes, the number of issues owed to you does not change. Your subscription will be extended to cover all of the issues that you have already paid for, so you don’t have to do anything.

If you did not purchase your subscription through iTunes, a letter has been sent to you with all the details on how your subscription will be honored.

How does the frequency change impact my subscription

We will be serving the remaining number of issues owed to you by extending your expiration date to ensure you get the full value of what you paid for.

What happens if I am an RRA customer?

The Rogers Reader's Advantage program will continue to offer the guaranteed lowest prices to Rogers customers on Rogers magazines charged monthly to their Rogers bill. There is no commitment and you can cancel at any time. Gift subscriptions are no longer offered through the Rogers Reader's Advantage program, effective September 30, 2016. If you ordered a one-year gift subscription, charged to your Rogers bill, and it extends into 2017, you will be provided with a credit.

What happens if I am an FIDO customer?

The Fido Magazine program will continue to offer the guaranteed lowest prices to Fido customers on Rogers magazines charged monthly to their Fido bill. There is no commitment and you can cancel at any time Gift subscriptions are no longer offered through the Fido Magazine Program, effective September 30, 2016. If you ordered a one-year gift subscription, charged to your Fido bill, and it extends into 2017, you will be provided with a credit.

What happens if I ordered my subscription through RMS?

Rogers Magazine Service is a continuous service subscription program (RogersMags.com), offering more than 150 top Canadian and U.S. magazines, including magazines published by Rogers. Rogers Magazine Service will cease its sales operation on December 31, 2016. Customer Service on all magazines sold through this program will continue in 2017, via RogersMags.com. As of January 2017, your credit card will no longer be charged.

What happens if I ordered my subscription through an agency? (e.g. EBSCO, QSP, PCH, Groupe Somitel, Rabais Campus/LeBlanc & David)

Will you still have a digital version through iTunes?

Yes, digital version of Chatelaine will still be available in iTunes.

Can I transfer my unused portion for 2017 to the digital format?

If your magazine continues in print, you'll get digital free.

Can I use the remainder of my subscription towards Texture?

No, but you are more than welcome to try Texture for free. Please contact us to receive your 30-days free trial of Texture at 1-800-268-6812.

Renewals

You may request to renew your subscription by calling us at 1-800-268-6812.

As we process orders in advance, renewal instructions should be received at least 8 weeks prior to subscription expiration to assure your magazine will be delivered without an interruption in service.

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We no longer accept cheques and money orders.

Temporary and Snowbird delivery suspension/forwarding

If you wish to have your magazine forwarded to your new temporary address, please provide the new address as well as an effective start and end date here by calling us at 1-800-268-6812 or you may temporarily stop your subscription online.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription online, or send us your information and we will cancel on your behalf.
You may receive one or two remaining copies so please accept any issues already in the mail with our compliments.

In the case of a paid subscription, a refund will be issued for all the remaining copies that haven't been mailed at the time of the cancellation.

If you purchased your subscription via an agency, direct your refund request to the agent.

Magazine frequency & delivery

Chatelaine is published 6 times a year and is on sale at newsstands generally two weeks prior to the issue cover date. For example, the November issue goes on sale by mid-October.

For new subscriptions, the first magazine's arrival date will vary depending on when you purchased the subscription. Please call us at 1-800-268-6812.

If available, you may purchase copies of current and previous issues of Chatelaine by calling us at 1-800-268-6812.

All requests must be paid at the time of order by credit card. Each copy costs CD$4.99 + tax, including postage.

Security

It is quick, easy and safe to place orders and conduct bill payment transactions online. Chatelaine uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology for all online transactions. SSL encrypts your personal information such as name, address and credit card number in an effort to prevent unauthorized access of this information during the transmission of your online order. You can confirm this by checking that the web address on the page that asks for your credit card information begins with "https:" instead of "http:" Other ways to tell whether a web site uses security software: Your browser displays the icon of a locked padlock or unbroken key at the bottom of the screen or status bar.

Late or missed issues

Your first issue's arrival will vary depending on when it was ordered. Chatelaine is published six times per year. If you do not receive your first issue, login to your account to verify that your name and address are correct before contacting us. Other factors that may cause a missed issue are:

  • A recent change of address
  • Your subscription has expired
  • Your payment has not been received/processed
  • Delivery delays

If none of the above applies, login to your account to report the missing issue online by clicking on the "Report Damaged/Missing Issue" link in the menu and we will send a replacement issue. If you are a non-subscribing donor, your subscription is expired, or your subscription is cancelled you are not eligible to report a missed issue and the "Report Damaged/Missing Issue" link in the menu will not show.

Damaged issues

If this is an isolated event, login to your account to report a damaged issue online by clicking on the "Report Damaged/Missing Issue" link in the menu and we will send a replacement issue. If you are a non-subscribing donor, your subscription is expired, or your subscription is cancelled you are not eligible to report a damaged issue and the "Report Damaged/Missing Issue" link in the menu will not show.

Duplicate issues

If you are receiving duplicate copies, it is likely that you have two active accounts. Please contact us at 1-800-268-6812 or email us at service@Chatelaine.com and provide us with your mailing details. We will combine both subscriptions into one and extend service accordingly to the preferred name and address.

Scent-free issues

You may request that your subscription issues are sent without any of the scent strips often used by fragrance advertisers. Login to your account to send your request online.

Personalized Ads

From time to time ads inside the magazine are personalized with the name that appears on the magazine mailing label. If you prefer not to receive personalized ads in your print magazine, please contact us at 1-800-268-6812.

Unable to access account

Enter your name and address on your account. Be sure you have not typed the letter "O" instead of the number "0" (zero) or the letter "L" instead of the number "1" (one).

International subscribers may have difficulty accessing their account this way due to the variety of formats that foreign addresses may be stored in our database. Refer to your magazine mailing label and use your account number (the ten-digit number located on the second line right after the letters CHE) to login.

If you are still unable to locate your account, you can email us for assistance. We will verify your account number for future reference.
